I'm Matteo Bolis, an aspiring product manager. I talk to users until the real problem is clear, then build the simplest thing that solves it. Today: MSc in Innovation & Technology in Milan, AI automation for B2B clients at ADHOC Solutions, and my own startup, Oriri.

Oriri

One place for every growth and career opportunity a university student could use.

DiscoveryBusiness modelPartnerships
0→1from a hunch to a validated product concept

Problem

Events, programs and openings for students are scattered across dozens of channels. Most students hear about them too late.

Discovery

Validated the problem with qualitative interviews and a survey distributed nationally.

Product

Defined the concept and a two-sided model: free for students, paid by universities, companies and event organizers.

Traction

Cold outreach to academic advisors and institutional partners. Selected for Milano Digital Week 2026, where I demoed the app prototype live on 30 September.

ConLab

Selected for the 10th edition of ConLab, Università Cattolica's startup space: a six-month program of training, one-to-one mentorship and networking with the innovation ecosystem.

Next

The matching algorithm, then launch.

AI automation for B2B clients

Finding the manual work inside a company, then turning it into a solution the client buys.

Process mappingDemosStakeholders
90%of manual steps removed from Gabesco's core processes

Scope

4 clients in 4 sectors: coffee trading, furniture retail, credit data, professional services. Each one starts with learning an unfamiliar business.

Gabesco

Mapped 6 core processes in 2 on-site visits. Built an Arbutus Analytics demo on the client's own contract and financial data for management. Sold automations that removed about 90% of manual steps.

Dondi Salotti

Replaced a fully paper-based signature flow with digital signing. No more print, sign, scan.

Creditsafe

Implemented and automated e-invoicing end to end for the Italian operation, from issue to compliant archiving.

DocLife

Prepared and ran a partnership negotiation: agenda, positioning against an incumbent consultant, talk track.

03_system_instructions_v1_2_final.md · Quality criteria
### Positive checks- A substantive strategy response includes at least one concrete negotiation move.- A full strategy response includes negotiation fundamentals: interests, BATNA, leverage, tradeable issues, and a possible ZOPA or no-ZOPA warning.- When formal rights may diverge from practical implementation power, compare both explicitly.- Cultural recommendations are framed as hypotheses and include a caveat, alternative explanation, or test.

An AI agent for cross-cultural negotiation

A Claude-based negotiation strategist that turns cultural insight into concrete, testable moves.

PRDAgent designEvaluation
Live agent demoFull markstop grade from the course jury on the agent running live

Problem

Cultural frameworks alone don't make a negotiator. Most "culture tips" stop at stereotypes and never reach a move you can make at the table.

My role

Product Manager for a team of five: owned the PRD, kept the knowledge base, system instructions and evaluation aligned, and drove the iterations.

Built

Followed a production agent workflow: research, a 60+ chunk knowledge base with ~30 sources verified by hand, a PRD with 9 capabilities, and system instructions iterated from v1.0 to v1.2.

Design

Negotiation first (interests, BATNA, ZOPA, leverage), culture second. Cultural patterns are treated as hypotheses to test, never as labels for the person across the table.

Evaluation

Tested on 7 cases across cultural pairs (France–China, France–Japan, US–Indonesia and more). Diagnosed 5 gaps, rewrote the rules, re-ran the case, and documented the weaknesses that remained.

Two live company websites

From blank page to published site, with no formal development background.

PrototypingShippingAI tools
2sites live and in use today

Problem

ADHOC Solutions and Arbutus Italia needed a complete online presence without a long agency project.

What I did

Designed, built and published both sites with Lovable, iterating with the team on content and structure.

Result

Both sites are live. Along the way I earned the Lovable L3 Gold certification.

University challenge · Università Cattolica · May 2025

Making public jobs attractive to young people

An employer-branding project for the Italian public administration, “Costruttori di futuro”. Our team won.

User researchInsight → proposalPitch
1stwinning team among the participating groups

Problem

The public sector loses an estimated 25,000 people a year and its average employee is about 52. Young people rarely see it as a career.

Research

The class interviewed 42 public-sector managers on roles and career paths. My team interviewed Luca Manganaro (INPS Milano) and Chiara Bonomo (Comune di Milano).

Proposal

Turned the interview insights into communication actions to make public-sector work more attractive to young people.

Result

Presented in Piacenza to the city's mayor and senior leaders from the Comune di Piacenza, Comune di Monza and Regione Emilia-Romagna. Our project won.

How I work

The same loop on every project, from a client's back office to my own startup.

  1. Listen

Interviews, surveys, on-site visits. I learn the business before proposing anything.

  2. Map

Draw the process as it really runs and find where time and errors go.

  3. Build

The smallest version that proves the point: a demo on real data, a live site, an MVP.

  4. Convince

Present to the people who decide and get them on board.

About

I love new technology. I believe even more in people.

When I find a new tool, I want to try it on something real right away: a website, an automation, a demo on a client's data. That's how I learned most of what I know.

But the best things I've worked on started with a conversation: a client walking me through a process, a student telling me what she kept missing, a public manager explaining why young people don't apply. I listen first, then build.

I'm at the point of choosing my direction, and I know what I'm looking for: people better than me to learn from, and problems where technology changes someone's day.
